Hátæknimenntasetur FNV

Þann 4. nóvember s.l. var Hátæknimenntasetur Fjölbrautaskóla Norðurlands vestra opnað við hátíðlega athöfn í Verknámshúsinu. Iðnsveinafélag Skagafjarðar óskar skólanum til hamingju með þennan áfanga og væntir þess að þetta muni efla verknám við skólann og auka veg þess og virðingu.

Á vef skólans kemur þetta á meðal annars fram:

„Um er að ræða opnun á fyrsta hátæknimenntasetri í skóla á Íslandi. Nafni verknáms FNV verður breytt í Hátæknimenntasetur FNV til samræmis við hátæknimenntasetur erlendis (Haas Technical Education Centers). Í dag eru 52 skólar í Evrópu með hátæknimenntasetur og verður Fjölbrautaskóli Norðurlands vestra fyrsti skólinn á Íslandi til að opna slíkt setur.

Fjölbrautaskóli Norðurlands vestra hefur fjárfest í tækjabúnaði og þekkingu í því augnamiði að vera í fararbroddi menntastofnana við innleiðingu nýjustu CNC hátækni í iðnmenntun. Í gegnum samstarf FNV, Iðnvéla og HAAS Automation munu fyrirtæki hafa aðgang að mannafli með fulla þekkingu á þeirri háþróuðu tækni sem er notuð í iðnaði í dag.

Það er von þeirra sem að þessu verkefni standa að þessi opnun marki tímamót í sögu iðnmenntunar við FNV.„

Einnig birtist ágæt grein í Fréttablaðinu eftir Ingólf Sverrisson forstöðumann málm- og véltæknisviðs Samtaka iðnaðarins.  Þar segir m.a.: „Sól skein skært við Skagfirðingum og gestum þeirra þegar Fjölbrautaskólinn á Sauðárkróki tók í notkun nýtt Hátæknimenntasetur á dögunum. Þar með var staðfest merkilegt samstarf iðnfyrirtækja á svæðinu, sveitarstjórna, skólans og HAAS Automation í Belgíu en það opinberast í nýjum og tæknilega fullkomnum CNC stýrðum vélum sem kennt verður á í framtíðinni í skólanum. Hér er um mikla fjárfestingu að ræða sem ber vott um stórhug skólans og atvinnulífsins í Skagafirði.“
