Miðstjórn Samiðnar lýsir mikilli andstöðu við tillögu ríkisstjórnarinnar um einhliða breytingu á skattlagningu séreignarsparnaðar og lítur á það sem alvarlegt inngrip í frjálsa kjarasamninga. Miðstjórnin samþykkti á fundi sínum í gær 31.október ályktun þar sem áformum ríkisstjórnarinnar er harðlega mótmælt:
„Miðstjórn Samiðnar lýsir mikilli andstöðu við tillögu ríkisstjórnarinnar um einhliða breytingu á skattlagningu séreignarsparnaðar sem fram kemur í fjárlagafrumvarpinu.
Fyrirkomulag skattlagningar á séreignarsparnaði var og er hluti af samkomulagi milli stjórnvalda og stéttarfélaga og er því hluti af kjarasamningum. Einhliða ákvörðun stjórnvalda um breytingar á því samkomulagi er mjög alvarlegt inngrip í frjálsa kjarasamninga.
Við þær fjárhagslegu aðstæður sem íslenskt þjóðfélag býr við nú, er mikilvægt að hvetja almenning til sparnaðar og leggja fyrir til elliáranna. Miðstjórnin krefst þess að ríkisstjórnin dragi til baka allar hugmyndir um breytingar á skattlagningu séreignarsparnaðar og hugmyndir um frekari skattlagningu á lífeyrissjóði. Jafnframt vill miðstjórn Samiðnar minna á yfirlýsingar ríkisstjórnarinnar um jöfnun lífeyrisréttinda sem fylgdu síðustu kjarasamningum en lítið hefur farið fyrir tillögum þar um.“
