Eins og fram kemur í yfirlýsingum ASÍ og SA, hér fyrir neðan, er það niðurstaða beggja samninganefndanna að kjarasamningarnir frá 5. maí s.l. öðlist gildi 22. júni 2011. Í aðfararsamningi kjarasamninganna var kveðið á um að forsenda þess að samningarnir öðlist gildi sé, að tilteknar stjórnvaldsákvarðanir og lagabreytingar hafi náð fram að ganga fyrir 22. júní. Nú liggur fyrir að Alþingi afgreiddi þau lagafrumvörp sem vænst var, en jafnframt að stjórnvöld hafa ekki kynnt veigamiklar áætlanir og áform í efnahags- og atvinnumálum og ríkisfjármálum.
Yfirlýsing ASÍ varðandi gildistöku kjarasamninga 22. júní 2011:
Samninganefnd Alþýðusambands Íslands og hlutaðeigandi aðildarsamtök (Félag bókagerðarmanna, Flóabandalagið (Efling, Hlíf, VSFK), Landssamband íslenskra verslunarmanna, Matvís, Mjólkurfræðingafélag Íslands, Rafiðnaðarsamband Íslands, Samiðn, Starfsgreinasamband Íslands, VM Félag vélstjóra- og málmtæknimanna og VR) staðfesta hér með fyrir sitt leiti gildistöku þeirra kjarasamninga sem undirritaðir voru þann 5. maí 2011 milli þeirra og Samtaka atvinnulífsins. Samningarnir munu því af hálfu ASÍ og hlutaðeigandi aðildarsamtaka gilda til loka 31. janúar 2014 með umsömdum endurskoðunarákvæðum enda staðfesti Samtök atvinnulífsins gildistöku þeirra af sinni hálfu.

Samtök atvinnulífsins staðfesta hér með gildistöku kjarasamninga 22. júní 2011 sbr. ákvæði kjarasamninganna sem undirritaðir voru 5. maí 2011 við Alþýðusambandið og hlutaðeigandi landssambönd/félög. Samningarnir munu því af hálfu Samtaka atvinnulífsins gilda til loka janúar 2014 með endurskoðunarákvæðum vegna launabreytinga 1. febrúar 2012 og 1. febrúar 2013 enda staðfestti Alþýðusambandið gildistöku þeirra með sambærilegum hætti.
